Frequently asked questions
Where is my jar stored?
Only on your device. Star Jar has no accounts and no servers to sync to, so your jar (your stars or marbles, your goal, and your stars-or-marbles choice) is saved on your phone and never leaves it.
Does Star Jar collect any data?
No. There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and the app makes no network calls. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I reset or empty the jar?
- Remove one star: drag a star out of the jar, or swipe left on the jar.
- When the jar is full: tap Collect Reward & Empty Jar! to start over.
- Start fresh any time: tap Goal and set a goal — setting a goal empties the jar.
- Erase everything: deleting the app removes all of its saved data.
Which devices does Star Jar work on?
The Star Jar app is made for iPhone. It is coming soon to the App Store. In the meantime you can try Star Jar in your web browser on any phone, tablet, or computer.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The iPhone app works fully offline — nothing needs to be downloaded once it’s installed.
If I use the browser version and the app, will my jar sync?
No. Each one keeps its own jar on that device only, because Star Jar never sends your data anywhere.
